Albania
Albania, officially known as the Republic of Albania, is a country located in Southeast Europe on the Balkan Peninsula. It is bordered by Montenegro to the northwest, Kosovo to the northeast, North Macedonia to the east, and Greece to the south. The country also has a western coastline along the Adriatic Sea and an eastern coastline along the Ionian Sea.
Albania has a population of approximately 2.8 million people and its capital and largest city is Tirana. The official language is Albanian and the official currency is the Albanian lek.

Albania experienced a period of communist rule under Enver Hoxha from 1944 to 1985, which isolated the country from the rest of the world.

The country has a developing economy, with agriculture, tourism, and energy sectors playing key roles.
