Uganda
Uganda, officially known as the Republic of Uganda, is a landlocked country in East Africa. It is bordered by South Sudan to the north, Kenya to the east, Tanzania to the south, Rwanda to the southwest, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the west. The country has a diverse landscape that includes savannahs, mountains, and the famous Lake Victoria - the largest lake in Africa. Uganda gained independence from British colonial rule in 1962 and has a population of over 45 million people. The official languages are English and Swahili, with Luganda also widely spoken. Uganda is known for its rich culture, including traditional music, dance, and art. The economy is primarily based on agriculture, with coffee being a major export.
